"Bass Drum Kix" ..."and you know it's time!" He aint joking ! BOOM ! Ruff tough beats straight from the streets and taking no prisoners. With low and dirty vocals over grinding synths held together by those rather large 808 beats, this is a tune that can't be ignored.

"Break It All Down". Massive, pulsing analogness and concrete shattering drums in a masterfully engineered tune that cries "OWNIDGE !", put this on yer deck and see the rest wither and fade.

"Hooligan" Expressing the urban frustration and punk attitude of a youth spent spraying graff on walls, breakdancing and looking for the perfect beat in a world seemingly set against you and your kind, where streetknowledge was essential and people played rough...most "Norms" thought us Hooligans.

"U Know Wassup" ..."Calling all you bitches..!" Hoo-wah ! Bring forth the bass ! One for the booty fans amongst us. Showing why he's still around after others have faded, Ben sets the dancefloor afire with this one. With a voice that's rising from the deepest underground electro caves and some rawcuss, diamond tough beats all moving around some irrestistable synthesized analog waveforms...this ones for the ladies !

A1 - Mike Dred.
A true master of the genre and mover of crowds across the globe, Mike
Dred delivers here a drop of pure unadulterated mind blowing acid. With
releases on labels such as Rephlex, R & S and Machine Codes, you know this
comes with a seal of quality. With a 4/4 kick of near sub bass proportions
and only a hint of hi hats, the rhythm is sparse. Add to this his masterful
handling of the 303, with tones programed to maximum effect and rising and
falling in all the right places....this is an unstoppable monster ! The
effects insinuated into the mix make for mind freaking, substance enhancing,
soul souring abilities beloved of all true acid house fans. I need say no
more !

A2 - Nederzuur.
The acid super group that's wowed crowds with their exclusive, lively and
masterful live shows at the 030303 clubs. Comprising of Cosmic Force
(marguerita / Clone ) Zero One (Random XS,Djax Up Beats) and Drifter (Drifter TV), this clan of acid lovers deliver tasty, body moving morsels of
basslines and deliciously smooth footstomping beats.
Having been a purely live experience until now, this is the first chance
for those unable to witness the 030303 shows to hear them. Throwing regular
dance song structure out of the window, these guys just lock mental
frequencies together, stick their heads down and jam the shit outa 303's,
808's and 909's. This is as raw as it gets, an acid lovers dream !
Consisting of the eponymous driving 303 bassline as well as subtle
undercurrents and hints of other 303 patterns flowing beneath it insinuating
themselves into the deepest reaches of the mind and soul while expertly
programed beats infest every muscle with twitches and spasms to make your
whole body react. This cut is a look into a crazy acid scientists lab where
3 highly regarded doctors of electronic music muse over the classic acid
formulas then hold them to the bunsen burner and watch them go up in flames.
They then concoct new, deeper, more complex equations and distill funky
fresh tablets of sound previously only available on subscription from the
pharmacists that are 030303 and now approved and available through
Marguerita Recordings.

B1 - Funckarma.
Not needing much of an introduction, these two brothers of electronic
musical mayhem bring their well tuned abilities to the mix in a more serious
and slightly darker acid journey. lifting off with harmonic choral vox tones
insinuating something lurks beyond the next corner and fat squelching 303's
ripple ominousely. jagged, funky beats then breakout to pick those feet up
and start you moving. Like something from a scary sci-fi movie, this tune
would part of the action sequence where the heroes battle something dark and
unknown, with passion and a will to survive against the odds. Frenetic and
at times beautiful but always insistant and moving at pace, we haven't heard
anything like this in a long time....serious depth and musicality. Almost
scary but all the time thrilling.

B2 - Acidwolf.
Blissfully bringing in the bright new season comes another release from
Benn Jordan aka Acidwolf. Having released tunes on Alphabasic, Dirty
dancing, Metatone and Rephlex, this track is exclusive (is it ?) to
Marguerita Recordings on behalf of the 030303 crew. Acidwolf brings us a
summery number full of cheeky 303 and groovy licks, promising a clear sky
and hot happy days of fun. Understated, pleasant vocodered lyrics add to
the acid wobble and perfectly mastered rhythms of the funky drums. A great
overdriven acid synth hook, reminiscent of Daft Punk, provides the bit your
gona hum to yourself for days after hearing this ! A truly wonderful acid
groove out that makes ya wana dance close up with your partner and bring a
wide smile to your faces.

A true collection of varied acid flavours provided by an international
cast of genre masters brought together by one of the best party crews
around, 030303 together with the true, raw music lovers at Marguerita
Recordings. This is a must record for DJs to fret over which tune of the
four to drop and collectors to savor and play again and again.

Dexter & Cosmic Force - (Marguerita 0033)

Picture a place, a secret spot. Somewhere away from the drudgery of daily life, a place that is secluded, enclosed while being massive. It can only be mapped by the meeting of two particular minds...yet we all feel that we know it. It's a strange place that feels normal, a mysterious location that we feel we have visited before. In these four tracks, Cosmic Force & Dexter have mapped out an area where machines integrate seamlessly with humans. Complimentary and non invasive, Natural while utilising scientific means. Here is a place shrouded in darkness but we are given the light by which to see.

A1 - Sloppenwijkkont
Oh yes ! This is the real deal, integration complete, man and machine in harmony...and funky as fuck ! Making the journey complete, worth the effort. Pointy beats with a clap/snare (?) that's so crisp metering between those great kick patterns that are totally impossible to resist. The Bass machines in this part of our adventure are funky funky FUNKY fat, laying down a groove that’s sure to shake the ass of any who hear it. Coming in from centre left is the mid freq synth containing so much movement and wibbles of LFO as to make the straightest faced robot break out into a massive grin. This is Electro for the dancefloor and here; in this deep, underground journey we find the place, through this tune, where humans and robots dance together in ecstasy. Unabashed and uplifting...you have arrived in the centre of energy conversion, where nature and technology secretly plan the future together, taking in those who discover it without question.
A2 - Baslijn in opstand
Now you’re in and the mystery deepens, you must explore further, the adrenalin is pumping...the hunt is on ! Pickin up the pace, the cave walls pass by quicker as you search accompanied by a super tight kick and a speedy, twisted snare. Hi hats are insistent while a stab of bass incurs the need to go further. BOOM ! Everything gets bigger as the beats morph into something larger, wider more exciting. Fat kicks and larger, reverberating snare/cosmic claps lengthen the view before you, seeing clearer the passage before you. Your appetite wetted, the only way is forward. Strange electronic machines flash past, hearing them before you briefly glimpse them and pass you by, leaving nothing but the tones of their operation like ghosts in your ears. Staccato mid range impulses then pervade your senses, here be a place of strange machines, ancient yet unknown, alien yet somehow familiar. This is electro for the pulse pleasers, cave explorers, and body movers. Here Cosmic Force & Dexter utilise occult synthesis programming and beat manipulation that comes only from long time synthesiser initiates. Effects are used sparingly but always in the right place, in the correct space. Wherever you are, you've just been integrated into the machine itself, you have free will but stronger impulses drive your direction.
B1 - Drum techniek
Rhythm is the key. After a swift journey along narrow tunnels we are suddenly into an open space where convergence of energy from many directions meld together. Patterns are discerned from the passing of Zapping synthetic information as inbetween the spaces, funky beats ensue. This is the belly of the beast that is You/The Machine/The Cave, the core. A nerve centre, everything is in motion, all is moving, and nothing is static. Things alert you to their arrival, insisting you give them room and let them pass by, unstoppable, eternal. The bass riff here is simple and ever changing in its intonation. Sometimes short, sometimes long but with enough warmth to insinuate a machine that’s been running for a long long time. Hot, yet not scorching to the touch. Here the traffic is varied and fluid, all beats compliment, all sounds have purpose....there's no waste here, no miandering, just pure movement and Drum Techniek.
B2 - Geheugen Meuk
Taking you deep into the underworld of Electro, There's no major label/pop genre reference here, just unadulterated machine music...pure, unfiltered, from the source.
As you step from the dark entrance gateway into this cavern of mystery, your way is immediately lit by the unmistable beats of the 808. Programmed without care, by instinct alone and with ease, you know it's natural, finding a vibe within you with no struggle or complaint. The hi- hats tickle along your forehead while kicks and snares deliver biomorphic resonance across your body. Then, emanating from the darkness, beyond the light of the rhythm comes the promise of greater things...A synth line full of energy to pick up those feet and move you on, explore, enticing you further into the reaches of this musical piece. Tight, low tonal pulses that then open and lift at the right moment, discordant in the slightest, pleasing to the upmost..taking you deeper. Suddenly, another presence makes itself known, that’s when the chord hits ! Yes, you're in the right place, Slightly vibrato and soothingly elongated keys unlock hitherto unknown courage, slaying any fear. Here lay secrets, found by few, understood by even fewer. Reverberating around the walls of this place in your mind like nature intended, you can feel the extent of the labyrinth before you, the synths are transmitting it to you. Somewhere in this pace is a secret part of you...if only you can let the music guide you to it.
